Hyunseok Park is a partner in the Washington, D.C. Office of Sughrue Mion PLLC.  He is involved in drafting and prosecuting patent applications involving small molecule drugs, protein drugs, method of treating (diagnosing) human and animal disease, method and apparatus for detecting target analyte, chromatography, siRNAs, microRNAs, cell therapy, transgenic animals, microbiome, virology, vaccines, drug delivery, petrochemicals, alloys, polymers, green technology, automotive materials, display materials, OLEDs, semiconductor materials, battery materials, medical device technologies, including digital dentistry, intraoral scanning systems, and 3D imaging and modeling solutions, magnetic recording mediums, tires, adhesive films, etching liquid for semiconductors, food compositions, fuel cells and inks.

Hyunseok also regularly engages in patent infringement and validity opinion practice and counseling, appeals before the USPTO, freedom-to-operate, due diligence and product clearance work, licensing and contract matters including joint ventures and co-development situations.

Prior to joining Sughrue, Hyunseok worked at a law firm in Seoul, Korea where he has been involved in a diverse intellectual property practice, encompassing world-wide patent prosecution, client counseling, post-grant patent challenges and patent litigation. He is also a registered Korean Patent Attorney.
