Soumya Panda is an attorney in the Washington, DC Office of Sughrue Mion PLLC. Mr. Panda drafts and prosecutes patent applications for both domestic and foreign clients in a variety of technology areas, including wireless communications and networking, digital signal and image processing, medical devices, semiconductors, fiber optics, computer architecture, finger print sensors, LED displays, and automotive technologies. Mr. Panda also prepares invalidity and non-infringement opinions in the same technology areas.
Mr. Panda also has extensive experience representing Fortune 500 companies before the Patent and Trial Appeal Board (PTAB). He has been involved in numerous post-grant proceedings representing both petitioners and patent owners. Mr. Panda is also a member of the Federal Circuit where he has successfully defended PTAB decisions favorable to his clients.
In addition to his Post Grant work, Mr. Panda has litigated patent cases in several federal district courts.
Mr. Panda graduated from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, where he served as Senior Editor of the Law Review and participated in the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court competition. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Steven J. McAuliffe of the United States District Court of New Hampshire.
