Raj is counsel in the firm's Washington D.C. office.  He has extensive experience in representing domestic and international clients in disputes before federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, the Court of Federal Claims, the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Raj also regularly engages in patent validity and infringement opinion practice and counseling clients on freedom-to-operate, due diligence, product clearance, and licensing work.

Raj's experience encompasses a broad variety of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, bulk containers, flooring technology, optics, semiconductors, automotive equipment, batteries, transportation devices, sports related technologies, food manufacturing devices, software, nautical technologies, and deep-sea drilling technologies.

Prior to joining Sughrue, Raj practiced with several international law firms where he focused on intellectual property litigation.  Prior to law practice, he served as a judicial law clerk for Chief Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
