Kenny’s practice focuses on patent prosecution in the electrical, mechanical, and software arts. He advises clients on U.S. patent prosecution strategy and claim drafting, with experience across a wide range of technologies including audio signal processing, display technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), networked systems, and semiconductors.
Before joining Sughrue, Kenny spent over a decade at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including more than five years as a Primary Examiner. His examining experience focused on advanced audio technologies such as binaural and spatial audio processing, beamforming, speaker and microphone design, hearing aids, and sound-producing display panels.
