Joshua is an accomplished patent attorney at Sughrue Mion PLLC, specializing in patent preparation and prosecution across advanced technology sectors. His practice areas include System-on-Chip (SoC) technology, semiconductor devices (such as application processors, DRAM, Flash Memory, and Magnetic RAM), display technologies (including plasma, OLED, QLED, LCD, and flexible displays), image sensors, battery systems, power management solutions, and both analog and digital circuits.
Prior to joining Sughrue Mion PLLC, Joshua practiced as both a patent attorney, and a patent agent, at several other intellectual property firms in Washington, D.C.
Joshua’s strong technical foundation comes from his work as a semiconductor circuit design engineer at Samsung Electronics, where he developed IP cores for semiconductor chips, including temperature sensors for SoCs, power management ICs (battery chargers, DC-DC converters, LDO regulators), and mixed-signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, and PLLs. His combined engineering and legal background enables him to deliver strategic IP solutions to clients in cutting-edge technology industries.
