Jeffrey is an Associate in the firm’s Electrical/Mechanical Group, and has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution including integrated domestic and foreign filing strategies for multi-national clients. Jeffrey’s experience includes a wide range of technical fields including wired and wireless telecommunications, semiconductor technologies, radio receivers and transmitters, GPS/GNSS systems, microwave/RF circuits, analog and digital circuits, antennas, battery systems, and device power management.
Jeffrey has managed the filing and prosecution of hundreds of standard essential patents (SEPs) directed to 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) 5G-NR cellular patents and IEEE 802.11 WLAN/WiFi patents. Jeffrey has further experience in assisting with inter-parties review (IPRs), reexaminations, and actions before U.S. district courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC), and conducting comprehensive due diligence of patent portfolios.
Prior to entering the legal field, Jeffrey worked for Texas Instruments Inc. in Dallas Texas, where he concentrated on microwave circuit design for various commercial and military systems and semiconductor device modeling. His technical experience includes design of radar antennas, GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC), and hybrid integrated circuit assemblies.
