Gabrielle S. Roth

Gabrielle is a partner in the Washington D.C. office of Sughrue Mion and is a member of the firm's trademark practice.‎ Based on decades of experience, Gabrielle has become an expert in strategically managing her clients' global trademark portfolios, routinely handling enforcement matters around the world, and successfully resolving disputes with her unassuming style and practical approach to conflicts. She is recognized for partnering with the companies she represents and ensuring that business sensitivities and goals are considered when devising both short and long term trademark strategies and solutions. Gabrielle's clients include companies with world renown brands in the food and beverages, pharmaceutical, life sciences, energy, and insurance fields, as well as individuals and small start-ups that have grown into large companies. In addition, Gabrielle’s clients are located both in the United States and in numerous countries around the world.

When necessary, Gabrielle handles oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and has written numerous motions and briefs on a range of trademark and unfair competition issues. She also advises her clients on licensing and internet-related rights.

In addition to her legal work, Gabrielle spent four years serving on INTA's Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee while spending two of those years chairing the committee's task force on Trends and Data Analysis. Gabrielle became more actively involved with AIPLA in 2015, and has since served AIPLA in a number of capacities, including as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Trademark Relations with the USPTO Committee and as a member of the Public Appointments Committee.
