DaeGunn Jei

DaeGunn has been involved in patent matters related to various electrical, electronic, mechanical, and chemical technologies throughout his career.

DaeGunn began his patent career at Samsung Electronics in Korea where he spent more than eight years working as a mobile telecommunications engineer and subsequently as an IP manager for patent matters related to Samsung’s telecommunications and network businesses. Specifically, he worked on negotiations and management of U.S. and European litigation, procurement of patents, and patent prosecution.

Prior to joining Sughrue, DaeGunn worked at an AmLaw 100 law firm in Washington D.C. for over eight years, where he specialized in patent negotiations, litigation, monetization, and prosecution. He has also worked at patent law firms in D.C., Philadelphia, Virginia and North Carolina where he worked for electrical/mechanical clients regarding invention counseling, patent application drafting, patent prosecution, and negotiation / litigation counseling.
