Jeff’s practice centers on patent preparation and prosecution in a wide variety of technology areas including vehicle control, control components, robotics controls, navigational technologies, business methods, computer software, and mechanical arts.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeff was a Supervisory Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he oversaw examination of vehicle controls and robotics controls examiners. In addition to his supervisory duties, he also served as a point-of-contact for examiners dealing with 35 U.S.C. 101 issues. Prior to becoming a Supervisory Patent Examiner, he was a Primary Examiner and examined computer and software related inventions. During his time as a Primary Patent Examiner, he also served on several details that enhanced his knowledge of office practices, including a detail to the Quality Assurance Shop, and a detail as a trainer of new Patent Examiners.
Jeff has bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
