Sughrue in conjunction with the University of Akron School of Law will host the 14th Annual Richard C. Sughrue Symposium on IP law in Akron, Ohio on March 19, 2012.  This year's program features a luncheon address by the Honorable David J. Kappos, the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Director Kappos will discuss the agency's implementation of the recently enacted "America Invents Act (AIA)".  Other distinguished speakers include the Honorable Paul R. Michel who will participate on a panel, with Sughrue partner Michael Dzwonczyk, pertaining to AIA's provisions relating to post grant review.   

Sughrue partner Alan Kasper will host a panel discussion on "International IP Developments".
