Mr. Ruch has technical experience in assignments with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, two Fortune 500 companies in petrochemical, paper and polymer technology, in patent-related matters with a third Fortune 500 company and in private practice in the chemical, process and mechanical fields, with particular experience in imaging systems technology, including radiographic screens and phosphors, photothermography, dye-bleach systems, lithography, etc.; materials science technology, including polymeric and inorganic materials and compositions; and pharmaceutical related technologies.

Prior Experience
Stevens, Davis, Miller & Mosher, Associate (1977-79) - prosecution of patent applications before the U.S. PTO; validity and infringement opinions; some interference, litigation, and international practice; technological area: 70% chemical arts (polymers, pharmaceuticals, etc.) and 30% mechanical arts (automotive and other equipment)
Eastman Kodak Company (1972-77) - preparation and prosecution of patent applications, and rendering opinions on the validity and infringement of patents; technological areas included mainly imaging system technology, including chemical and mechanical, and polymer technology
Scott Paper Company (1971) - research in polyurethane chemistry, particularly polyurethane foams
Atlantic Richfield Company, Co-op/Student (1969-70) - water pollution testing project: development of analytical methods for QC lab
