Sughrue will once again sponsor the International Series IP Judicial Conference. This year's event will be held in conjunction with the Judiciary of the Republic of Korea. The conference will include discussions with judges from each nation, parallel seminars, sessions for views from the heads of the Korean IP Office and the USPTO and mock trial events. The purpose of the event is to enhance the understanding of differences between the legal systems and legal practices of Korea and the US and to provide best practices for IP owners faced with legal issues in the area of intellectual property rights, litigation of their IP and Section 337 perspectives.
The event will take place at the Coex in Seoul, Korea from October 21-22, 2013. Sughrue Partners Mike Dzwonczyk and Keiko Takagi will both present on areas pertaining to litigation in the U.S. during the international series.
