Ernest Huang is an associate in the EM Practice Group and Internet/Software/E-commerce Group.  His practice focuses on preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a broad range of technology areas in the electrical, mechanical and computer arts.  Ernest has experience prosecuting applications directed to semiconductor manufacturing and design, digital circuit design, connectors, PCB design, and storage media (including HDD recording methods and component design).  Ernest also has experience prosecuting applications in data storage and migration architectures, encryption schemes, various software algorithms and applications and wireless transmission protocols.

  • IBM, San Jose, CA, Co-op Intelligent Storage Server Manufacturing Test Engineering Technology Group, 7/2002 - 9/2002 - Developed telnet clients and other applications in C++ for storage server hardware testing.
  • IBM, San Jose, CA, Co-op Intellectual Property Licensing & Development, Technology Group, 7/2001 - 9/2001- Performed extensive patent and intellectual property licensing research on specific technologies.  Utilized INPADOC and Delphion.  Assisted in comparing patent portfolio with competitor products for potential infringement.
