A high value is placed on attorney independence and initiative, and direct client contact at all levels forms a part of our culture. We are also committed to the training and professional development of our new attorneys. Each associate is assigned to work with a partner of the Firm who serves as a mentor and supervises that associate's work. Mentors work closely with new associates to ensure a quick and easy transition into life at Sughrue and the practice of law. Each mentor will critique the associate's work on an on-going basis and share his/her expertise and experience with the associate. Mentors are rotated periodically to allow associates the opportunity of working closely with, and share the experiences of, different partners.
We also conduct weekly associate luncheon seminars to facilitate discussion on recent developments in intellectual property law, to share practical experience and to discuss other legal and technical subjects of interest.
