Sughrue obtains Consent Decree granting Permanent Injunctive Relief for Plaintiff


Sughrue obtains Consent Judgement granting Permanent Injunctive relief and nominal monetary award for Kessler International.  Trademark Infringment suit filed by Sughrue asserting inter alia "initial interest confusion" along with infringement and unfair competition claims.  The suit alledged Defendant paid Internet search engines to use Plaintiff's Registered Trademark KESSLER INTERNATIONAL as a "key word", which when searched would direct users of the search engine to Defendant's website.  The parties are direct competitors and provide investigation services to the Intellectual Property Community. Lead Counsel for the case is Kevin Smith and Jody Drake, Partners with the Sughrue firm.  Mack Webner, Partner, and Paul Higgins, Associate, are also involved in the case.
