Korean American Bar Association of San Diego 7th Annual Dinner & Installation of Officers
The University Club Atop Symphony Towers
750 B St #3400
The Korean American Bar Association of San Diego (KABA-SD) invites you to celebrate our Seventh Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers (750 B Street, Suite 3400, in downtown San Diego). A cocktail reception and registration will start at 5:30pm, with the dinner program to follow at 6:45pm.
Our celebration features keynote speaker Tad Yo, the executive director of Asian baseball operations at the Boras Corporation. Mr. Yo is also the president of YO & Associates, which develops and assists in the execution of expansion and entry strategies for companies in the multi-billion dollar telecommunications industry.
We are also pleased this year to award, for the third time in KABA-SD’s history, the “Mugunghwa” Award. Mugunghwa, or hibiscus, is the national flower of South Korea and, literally translated, means “eternal flower.” For us, it is a symbol of pride and great achievement. This year, we honor Angela Oh, an author and an attorney mediator with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Best known for her role as a spokesperson for the Korean American community after the 1992 Los Angeles riots and for her position on President Bill Clinton’s One America Initiative, Ms. Oh has served as a nationally-recognized community leader for decades.
