COURT STOPS NEW PTO RULES

Today Judge Cacheris of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia issued an preliminary injunction stopping the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from implementing the controversial new rules governing patent prosecution. 

"The Judge said he will issue an Order later today" according to Sughrue partner Richard Turner who attended the Hearing.  The parties will meet next week to discuss scheduling issues, and the injunction will be in effect until the trial is conducted.
